چکیده
Background &Aim: The prognostic factors determining the outcome of patients with cirrhosis and multi-organ failure are currently under evaluation. Reversal organ pattern in response to Liver Transplant has not been studied much. It is an understood phenomenon that different organs failed as consequence ACLF will ultimately recover from injury upon liver transplantation. aim study was determine mean number days a failing pre-transplanted patient take after Methods: Data collected April 2013 till February 2020 department Transplantation, Hepatobiliary Pancreatic Services, Shifa International Hospital, Islamabad. In this cross-sectional retrospective study, 82 both genders age >15 years who fulfilled EASL-AASLD definition underwent transplantation were included study. And APASL criteria but did or those required ventilator support triple inotropic before surgery excluded. Patients serum creatinine level >1.5mg/dl labeled having renal failure. Those total bilirubin >12 mg/dl hepatic INR >2.5 coagulation

[Liver transplantation in acute liver failure].
Acute hepatic failure is characterized by jaundice and hepatic encephalopathy within eight weeks after the onset of disease. Although acute hepatic failure is a rare occurrence, its rapid progression and high mortality (50 to 90%, depending on the etiology of disease) necessitate immediate intervention. In the absence of causal therapy, orthotopic liver transplantation is currently the only def...

Acute-on-Chronic Liver Failure (ACLF) is a recently introduced term defined as severe acute deterioration of an established liver disease. This entity usually develops after an acute insult. The main clinical manifestations are hepatorenal syndrome, hepatic encephalopathy and organ failure, with a high risk of death in the short term. The true incidence of ACLF remains difficult to determine du...

Acute-on-chronic liver failure combines an acute deterioration in liver function in an individual with pre-existing chronic liver disease and hepatic and extrahepatic organ failures, and is associated with substantial short-term mortality. Common precipitants include bacterial and viral infections, alcoholic hepatitis, and surgery, but in more than 40% of patients, no precipitating event is ide...

Acute-on-chronic liver failure (ACLF) is an increasingly recognized distinct disease entity encompassing an acute deterioration of liver function in patients with chronic liver disease. Although there are no widely accepted diagnostic criteria for ACLF, the Asia.Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver (APASL) and the American Association for the Study of Liver Disease and the European As...

Recently, acute-on-chronic liver failure has been recognized as a specific and unique clinical form of liver failure (usually related to acute insult) in patients with previously known or unknown compensated chronic liver disease. Its main feature is the reversibility, and high short-mortality due to multiorgan failure (MOF) in the absence of liver support system devices and/or liver transplant...
